
IUCN Global Standard for NbS Workshop!
Over three immersive days, from February 26th to 28th, participants deepened their understanding of the IUCN Standard’s principles, honing their skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating impactful NbS projects.
Through real-world case studies, engaging discussions, hands-on exercises, and expert guidance from Sara Pelaez Sanchez, Consultant, PhD Ecology Pelaez Sanchez (NBSCLIMATE), they gained a deeper understanding of how to design, implement, and evaluate impactful NbS projects.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, participants also highlighted key challenges in small-scale urban NbS projects, including cross-sectoral coordination, technical expertise, continuous monitoring, and long-term citizen engagement.
