Building blocks for the area-oriented approach to quality of life and safety in vulnerable areas

As part of the creation of its Urban Regeneration Strategy, Den Helder is looking for an innovative and integrated solution. The aim is for citizens to be involved in – or even lead – the process, based on proper data analysis, and the use of new tools, addressing challenges specific to coastal port cities.
After consulting national sources for solutions, Den Helder reached out to Ravenna and Svendborg, peers from the European Maritime Days (EMD) Cities Network of European coastal cities facing similar issues caused by current transitions in ports.
