Learning from innovation ecosystems and physical innovation hubs

Vantaa aims to support local research, development and innovation (RDI) ecosystems to drive economic growth and attract investment. This is reflected in its city strategy, Vantaa of Innovations 2022-2025, and plans for a new Tikkurila Competence Campus and start-up ecosystem. But the city faces challenges such as a shortage of skilled private and public sector workers, and the need for a more systematic, coordinated approach to developing research, development and innovation (RDI) environments. Vantaa joined a City-to-City Exchange with Valencia to learn from their experience in creating and managing innovation ecosystems, and help improve its own initiatives.
