Szeged hosts the first international ReGreenX meeting
by Szeged’s Choice: Mobilising Citizens to Experiment with Climate Resilient (Re)Greening Through a Collective City-Wide Mindset Shift

For three days, Szeged welcomed representatives from European partner cities as part of the ReGreenX project, which aims to find sustainable, climate-resilient solutions for urban greenery.
Held between 22–24 September, the event brought together delegations from Sankt Pölten, Alhama de Murcia and Timișoara. Participants were introduced to the project’s first results and plans, while site visits offered a closer look at Szeged’s future model gardens and the ongoing activities in the Botanical Garden,
“Adapting to the impacts of climate change is one of the most pressing challenges for Szeged, and international cooperation is key in finding effective solutions,” Deputy Mayor Sándor Nagy emphasized in his welcome speech.
