On May 19, the SHARE Project held an awards ceremony to recognize the winners of its architectural competition. Held in a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere, the event brought together city officials, national leaders, and architectural professionals to honor the creativity and vision of all participating teams. The winning proposal by Entresitio was celebrated for its innovation in reimagining public spaces in line with the New European Bauhaus initiative.

The ceremony was attended by key figures from the local and national level, including the Mayor of Fuenlabrada, Javier Ayala; the Dean of the Architects' Association of Madrid (COAM), Sigfrido Herráez; and the Secretary of State for the Urban Agenda, Housing and Urban Planning, Iñaqui Carnicero.

Mayor Ayala underscored the transformative potential of the SHARE Project to repurpose disused public buildings and create new community opportunities. COAM Dean Herráez praised the Fuenlabrada City Council for launching the competition under the framework of the New European Bauhaus, commending the project's vision, design excellence, and commitment to sustainability. Secretary of State Carnicero emphasized the urgency of ongoing urban innovation to ensure cities remain dynamic, accessible, and livable.

All competition participants were acknowledged for their valuable contributions. The winning firm, Entresitio, received special recognition for their standout proposal. In their remarks, the team expressed gratitude for the opportunity and praised the high quality of the competing submissions.

The awards ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the design teams but also marked a pivotal step in advancing the SHARE Project. With the winning proposal now set to move from concept to implementation, the event served as a powerful reminder of how design, policy, and public engagement can come together to reimagine urban life.
