Peer reviewer role
A total of 29 applications were received from 11 EU Member States, seven coming from Spain and six from Italy. Over 90% were from smaller cities with less than 500.000 inhabitants and 18 out of 29 applications came from Article 11 cities. After a careful assessment, 20 peer reviewers coming from 10 Member States have been approved. A total of 16 out of 20 are from Article 11 cities and 12 from less developed or transition regions.
What’s next?
Our team of experts is currently working on the matchmaking phase: this means finding the best possible peer reviewers to help on the guiding questions that the cities under review brought forward.
Following this process, the teams of experts, cities under review and selected peer reviewers will be put together in groups and will be invited to join the two Peer Reviews organised this Autumn.
Congratulations to all our new colleagues!
If you are also interested in joining the Peer Review adventure, please remember that EUI is organising two calls for Peer Reviews yearly, usually in March and in October. If you need a little push, find inspiration here, where previous beneficiaries are sharing five reasons to apply to join a Peer Review, or book a consultation with a member of the Capacity Building team to get tailored advice.
