CARE-GET Second Newsletter is Out! ✨🚀

We’re excited to share the latest progress and key milestones from the past six months of the CARE-GET project!

In this edition, you will discover how our team, partners, and experts have been working together to advance innovation, capacity-building, and sustainable development in Haskovo.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

• Progress on Transfer & Replication

Developed jointly with the Innovation Expert, the Transfer Expert, and project partners—and approved by the European Urban Initiative (EUI)—this work package sets out the roadmap for transfer activities, upcoming meetings, deliverables, and clearly defined roles for our transfer partners.

• Successful Introductory Meeting with Transfer Partners

Hosted in Haskovo, the first joint meeting with transfer partners was a great success! Participants connected, exchanged expectations, and laid the foundation for effective collaboration throughout the project.

• Evaluation Methodology and Monitoring System Finalised

The Evaluation Methodology and Plan have been completed, alongside a dedicated database designed to track progress toward project indicators. This system will help ensure transparency, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making across all activities.

• Completion of Labour Market & Economic Development Strategy

Work Package 5 has been finalised, resulting in several strategic documents that analyse local labour market dynamics and outline pathways for accelerated economic development in Haskovo. You’ll find more insights and highlights from these deliverables in the following pages.

• Major Progress on the Future Haskovo MedTech Hub

A site survey, conceptual design, and design brief for the transformation of the former Home for Children Deprived of Parental Care have been completed and submitted to the Ministry of Culture. By late October, the documentation received official approval, and preparations are now underway to launch the public procurement procedure for the detailed design phase.

Don’t miss these updates and the inspiring work happening across the CARE-GET partnership.

Happy reading—and stay tuned for more exciting developments!
