Integrating user-centric services, sustainability and innovation in the city strategy
Tallinn’s 2035 development strategy sets out a vision of becoming a green, global city where people look to the future and value their heritage (https://strateegia.tallinn.ee/en).
As a digital trailblazer, a key challenge for Tallinn was now to develop a sustainability governance model that would aid the implementation of the city’s green transformation. Meanwhile, the city had also started localising a development model for user-centred city services, currently being built at national level by Estonia’s ministry of economic affairs. All this against a background of ongoing innovation projects such as Tallinnovation competition (https://innovatsioonifond.tehnopol.ee/en) and Test in Tallinn (https://greentallinn.eu/en/test-in-tallinn/).
